Predominant aquatic vegetation includes spadderdock (bonnets), bulrush (buggy whips), cattail, and pond-weed (pepper grass). Kissimmee grass on the south end is particularly productive when there is flow into the Istokpoga Canal. This canal, located off County Highway 621, provides excellent large-mouth bass fishing from the bank when the gates are open. Arbuckle and Josephine Creek mouths are also good areas when there is flow. The island areas and associated grass can hold bass any time of year and the deepest portion of the lake (10 ft) is in the southwest corner. Public boat ramps are located on the north, northeast, and southwest shorelines off of U.S. Route 98, Lake Boulevard off Cow House Road, and Highland Lake Drive off of County Route 621, respectively. This Villa is in a quiet neighbor hood, has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1 car garage, office with a Sofa that makes into a bed and sleeps two along with a single chair that makes into a bed to sleep the 7th person. The pool and a whimsical garden for your pleasure and relaxation. It has plenty of charm in this 1700 sq ft home away from home. There are a lot of antiques yet plenty of comfort. With attention to the details you will feel right at home. It's a perfect place for one or 2 couples or 2 children. It would also be perfect for a couple to get away from the grind and have a nice romantic weekend together with a 5 star feeling but without the high price. You will love the Master Bedroom with the 4 poster bed, the antique vanity and the beautiful view of the garden. It is fully furnished with all your daily needs including a washer and dryer. Sleeps 7 comfortably. We furnish all cleaning supply and paper products. We launder and change the sheets once a week for our guests that are here for 2 or more weeks to make your visit less stressful while on your vacation. (This does not apply to seasonal guest). For that perfect dining experience you can sit at the table with candle light, fine china and very pretty flatware at each meal. Or you can cook your meal on the grill, grab the plastic trays and eat outside while enjoying the garden and the water fountains. There's a fire pit to roast your marshmallows too. You will see couples walking their puppies, riding their bicycles or jogging and walking in the neighborhood. The Rental is in Village 1 of Spring Lake and houses are older and newer. We have vacant lots on all 4 sides which makes it really nice and quiet and gives plenty of extra parking since we always ask our guest not to park on the lawn. You see the Sand Cranes everyday as they roam the neighborhood, but you are not allowed to feed them - it's the law. They are very friendly. You can be outside doing something and all of a sudden they are right there at you and you didn't even hear them. They are pretty cool to watch and people are usually amazed by them. Sebring is centrally located, only one and a half hours from all of the main attractions and from either coast. The famous 12 Hours of Sebring at the Sebring International Raceway is less than 3 miles away, golfing is across the Highway from the rental. Plus there are a total of 15 Golf Courses in Highlands County. There are 29 lakes in Highlands County, including Lake Istokpoga, Florida's 5th largest Lake at 27,692 acres. Lake Istokpoga is world renowned for its fishing, it also supports resident population of Osprey and bald eagles and many other forms of wild life. For those of you that are hunters, Highlands County fits that ticket too. It's the perfect location for deer and turkey hunting. (fees will apply upon request). Historical Sebring area is 8 miles away where you can park your car go to some of the sweetest shops or dine in some awesome Restaurants. If you love to hike we have Highlands Hammock Park. It's only 15 miles from rental. The park has a Civilian Conservation Corps Museum and a wooden bridge trail for your hike. It's nature at its finest. Lake Placid is only 15 minutes away and it's known as the Caladium Capital of the world and the town celebrates with a festival dedicated to the caladiums twice a year. Lake Placid is also known as the "Town of Murals". The buildings all over town features hand painted Murals depicting the history of Lake Placid. You'll love it in Sebring, Florida. It was just voted # 4 of the Most Beautiful Towns in Florida by the Culture Trip. You can also plan a day trip to enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World, Lego Land, Lion Country Safari, Sea World, Silver Springs, Universal Studios, Islands Of Adventure, Dinosaur World, Wet & Wild and Busch Gardens, just to name a few of the many attractions close by. Then of course on the days you don't want to leave home there is the pool, out door grill, and a place to dine at your own back door. Guaranteed to help you relax and be amused at how many times you can walk around and find new things each time you walk the grounds. Race enthusiast love to stay at our home away because it is so close to the track (less than 5 miles away) and extremely convenient to run back and forth. Plus it sleeps so many. The garden and the rental makes it a perfect spot for a Wedding and reception if you are looking for something different that is whimsical. Parking on Lake June Road is hazardous and not allowed by the County - vehicles will be towed if parked on the street **NOTE** Due to liability issues and age of the the watercraft, the owner's boat and jet skies as well as the boat lifts are NOT available for guest use during stay. There is however plenty of room at dock to tie up a guest's own boat(s) or jet skies while staying here and there is a public boat launch 1/4 mile away. There are no current locations at this time in Lake Placid for boat/watercraft rentals. Dock Details: There is room to dock at least two boats at the dock. The owner's boat and jet skis are not for guest use. They are stored by the owner on the lifts at the boat house. Owner's boat and jet skies are not for guest use (insurance reasons). Damage Waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Welcome to our  Lake Placid home - the perfect spot for your next vacation to this lovely community in Central Florida. The home has recently been remodeled and features an open and spacious kitchen with brand new appliances and lots of counter and storage space. You'll find basic cooking and kitchen utensils so you can easily make your own homecooked meals. Inside there is a small table that can seat two guests, and out back we have a lovely garden area with a picnic table which you will also enjoy dining at, especially as it cools off in the evening. There is a TV in the living room and bedroom, and free wireless internet is available throughout the home. Guests can park in the driveway right out front, making it very easy to unload your belongings when you arrive. The home has one bedroom with a Queen sized bed and there is a full sized Futon in the living room.  This mobile accommodates 2 adults comfortably, anymore than 2 adults may find it cramped.  There is one bathroom, appropriately decorated with bright Florida colors, that features a shower/tub combination. We also provide bath towels to use during your stay.  Guests will have access to the on-site community clubhouse which includes indoor games such as billiards, ping pong and darts, as well as a year-round outdoor pool and tennis courts. We even have tennis rackets inside the home for you to use. Guests will also have access to a shared coin operated laundry facility. The home is situated in a quiet community just steps from Grassy Lake and minutes to Lake Placid. There is a Winn Dixie grocery store just 6 minutes away by car.
